With advances in technology, people are looking for their cars to do more and more for them. One of the most important things is to keep them safer. The Lane Management System (LMS) aims to do this by helping drivers stay in their lane and alert them if they are drifting out of it.
The Lane Management System (LMS) is designed to improve safety through its various subsystems. This starts with the Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS), which alerts the driver if the vehicle is leaving the lane. If no action is taken, then the Lane Keeping System (LKS) intervenes and steers the vehicle back into the lane. The LMS also includes a Lane Centering System (LCS) which automatically keeps the vehicle in the middle of its lane.
