Roth and Liu win Best Demo Award at BTAS 2013
Computer Science and Engineering Ph.D. student Joseph Roth and Assistant Professor Xiaoming Liu of Michigan State University, in collaboration with Dimitri Metaxas of Rutgers University, received the Best Demo Award at the IEEE Sixth International Conference on Biometrics: Theory, Applications and Systems (BTAS 2013). The demo allows a user to enroll a computer system by typing on a keyboard for 30 seconds, and then continuously authenticates the user by the hands movement pattern of typing observed from a webcam.
