CSE Team wins 2013 Ford College Community Challenge Grant
CSE Senior Kaitlin Davis and Professors Laura Dillon and Charles Owen have been awarded a 2013 Ford College Community Challenge Grant. Their project "Technology for Social Good" is just one of nine in the country to be awarded under the Ford 3C Program, which supports projects that incorporate community work into schools\' curriculum, giving students real-world experience while also producing benefits to the community. The MSU team will develop and pilot a curriculum introducing high school students to programming through creating a smartphone app that allows them to monitor and learn about energy consumption and conservation.
